Feature updates:

· Russound RNet driver version has been updated

· Driver initialization improvements

The first stage of driver initialization has been moved from within the CQCServer instance into the driver’s own running thread. This change was made to allow the driver developer a facility for watching pre-initialization failures and to prevent drivers from failing to initialize and load into the CQC Server instance.

Notes for driver developers to remember upon driver initialization going forward:

· DO NOT initialize strings with appends, use the assignment operator [ := ] instead. During initialization, subsequent calls would continue to append instead of assign.

· DO reset members before your driver’s wind-up.

· DO flush or check vectors to make sure they contain, or don’t contain, the objects you’re expecting.

· DO reset your counters when using member cardinal values before you start counting.

· DO keep track of items that have been initialized by using member variables. This will help solve potential “stepping on feet” problems.
